Living at the Motherhouse

Sister Janet in her garden.

Many of the Sisters live at the Motherhouse.   They each contribute to the atmosphere of the house.

Sr. Janet is a chaplain with a hospice group.  She also works with immigrants who come through San Antonio.   Janet loves all of creation.  She especially likes to work and relax in a garden she has set up beside the Motherhouse.  She raises flowers and vegetables.  As you can see in the picture she has a “green  thumb.”  The Sisters enjoy the vegetables when Sr. Janet cooks them.

Sister Janet’s gardens include flowers and vegetables.

Sr. Bernadette McNamara is bringing Communion to sisters unable to go to the chapel for services.

Sisters Mary Walsh and Catherine Killoran have a conversation in the hallway.

Sr. Irene Arrendondo is ready to teach Religion at a nearby parish.
